Slasher: Origins in Steam Next Fest

Descend into the chaotic underworld in this rogue-lite noir-anime survival game!

Wales Interactive, the award-winning indie publisher and developer behind hit titles like Sker Ritual, Maid of Sker, Five Dates and The Complex, is excited to announce Slasher: Origins, a debut game by the 3-person indie dev team, Little Army Studio.

Slasher: Origins is a 2.5D auto-attack survival game with rogue-lite elements, and the free demo is out today, celebrating its inclusion in the Steam Next Fest from October 14th to 21st, 2024.

In Slasher: Origins, players are thrust into Mephistopheles’ underworld, navigating chaotic, procedurally generated worlds with ever-increasing challenges. Choose from a roster of 10 unique heroes—each with their own distinct backstories and abilities—and permanently upgrade ability builds to survive an inferno of escalating darkness, blending noir and anime aesthetics.

“We’re thrilled to showcase Slasher: Origins at Steam Next Fest,” said David Banner, co-founder of Wales Interactive. “The game’s fast-paced combat and noir-anime art style make it a truly unique entry in the rogue-lite genre, and we can’t wait for players to get their hands on the demo!”

“Working on Slasher: Origins has been a dream come true for us,” said Eros Cappello, Co-founder and Lead Developer at Little Army Studio. “We put a lot of passion into it, and we hope players enjoy their Steam Next Fest experience” said Mauro Forte, Co-Founder and Art Director at Little Army Studio.
